Metallica’s James Hetfield: “Will Not Recreate A Past Memory”

James Hetfield enjoys posting on his instagram account when he isn’t playing a gig, or sitting down trying to write their newest album. While they are trying to create new material new shows keeps coming up and as we know Metallica barely turns down a gig. As Metallica’s frontman James Hetfield has told Australian rock station Triple M that the band wants to get to work on its next album and won’t write an album to please fans to go back to older material, says James stated, "It's like they're asking you to recreate a memory in their past and you cannot do that . . . We're one of those bands that doesn't really care what people want. . . We're not going to roll over for anyone and, you know, we're Metallica for a reason and we're going to keep doing that."
